Great team, professional, caring and great at what they do. Results were better than expected. This is a wonderful group. I would recommend you see them before going to anyone else!
Achieving a flat, sculpted abdomen is a challenging task, especially if you are a new mom with leftover baby fat and excess skin adding bulk to your belly. The tummy tuck is a surgical procedure that makes it easier to get the slender midsection you desire. There are two different tummy tuck procedures that you might consider when you decide to have surgery—full and mini tummy tucks—and they are compared in closer detail below.
Treated areas
The full tummy tuck targets the entire length of the abdomen, from just under the chest to the pelvic region. A mini-tuck is suitable for those individuals who have a lower belly pooch of fat and skin. For this procedure, the focus is only on the lower abdomen, which is one of the most common problem areas for women who have had children.
Incisions and scarring
When you opt for a full tummy tuck, you will have a long scar across the lower abdomen that extends from hip to hip. This scar is the result of the incision made to remove fat from the whole abdominal region before the skin is pulled down and excess is cut away. With this procedure, the belly button will need to be repositioned for a natural end result. The mini tummy tuck leaves a smaller scar in the lower abdomen, and fat is only removed below the belly button. Excess skin is still removed, but only on the lower half of the tummy. The scars from both procedures can generally be covered with undergarments and swimwear.
Recovery
Because the full tummy tuck is a more involved procedure than the mini tummy tuck, it comes with a longer and more intensive recovery period.
